Ukraine endured another night of intense attacks as Russian forces targeted its energy and gas infrastructure. Multiple regions were hit by airstrikes, with Ukrainian officials warning of potential disruptions in energy supplies.

Widespread Strikes Across Ukraine

According to Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko, Russian forces used drones and Kalibr cruise missiles to bombard power plants and gas facilities. As reported by Wirtualna Polska, the attacks were part of a continued effort to leave Ukrainian civilians without electricity and heating.

In Kharkiv, a civilian infrastructure site was struck, injuring five people.

Rescue workers pulled a woman from the rubble, and evacuation efforts were underway for nearby residents. A fire broke out at the impact site, causing further damage to a residential building.

Meanwhile, a critical industrial facility in the Ternopil region was also hit, raising concerns over possible gas supply disruptions.

Russian Bombers and Missile Launches

Ukraine’s military reported missile launches from Russian warships in the Black Sea, as well as the deployment of Tu-95 strategic bombers from Olenya Air Base in Murmansk.

Missile warnings were issued for several regions, including Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, and Ivano-Frankivsk.

Throughout the attack, Russian drones operated over Ukrainian airspace, prompting nationwide air raid alerts.

This latest assault underscores Russia’s ongoing strategy of targeting Ukraine’s energy sector, a move aimed at weakening the country’s resilience as the war continues.
