In his nightly address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated that Russia is now receiving support from North Korean troops, not just weapons, according to Digi24.

He urged Ukraine's allies to adapt to this new reality by increasing military aid, particularly with long-range weapons, to counter Russia's growing alliance with regimes like North Korea.

"This is not only about arms transfers," Zelenskiy said. "It's about the transfer of people into Russian occupation forces."

In need of assistance

He emphasized the need to strengthen Ukrainian forces to prevent a wider war and ensure a just peace through decisive action.

Zelenskiy announced that the coming week would focus on working with partners to enhance Ukraine’s military capabilities.

He stressed the importance of swift decision-making, noting that Ukraine's soldiers and people have consistently shifted the war’s momentum in their favor.

Zelenskiy also referenced reports that North Korean soldiers have been killed in Ukraine, while South Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun suggested Pyongyang may be sending troops to assist Russia.

Though the Kremlin has denied these claims, Zelenskiy urged partners to act quickly to prevent Russia and its allies from adapting.

He reiterated that peace can only be achieved by pressuring Russia through strength. Zelenskiy’s peace plan, which was presented to U.S. President Joe Biden, emphasizes forcing Russia to negotiate but remains vague on specific details.

The Ukrainian president is seeking approval to use Western weapons on Russian territory to further pressure Moscow.
