A massive missile attack on Odesa has left seven people injured, including three children, and caused widespread damage across the city.

On the morning of August 26, a missile attack struck the Odesa region, injuring seven people, including three children.

The attack has caused large-scale damage to homes and vehicles, with power outages reported across the city.

Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, confirmed the injuries, stating that the victims include a 10-year-old boy, a 7-year-old boy, and a 10-year-old girl.

All seven individuals were hospitalized and are in moderate condition, receiving necessary medical care. The total number of casualties is still being verified.

The missile strike caused extensive damage in the Odesa district.

"As a result of the falling missile debris, private houses and a large number of vehicles were damaged. Additionally, there are power outages in the Odesa district,” Kiper said, as reported by United24 Media.

Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov announced that to prevent further accidents in the power grid, Ukrenergo, the national energy company, ordered emergency power cuts across the city.

The operation of electric public transport has also been temporarily halted.

Warnings and Response

Trukhanov urged residents to remain in shelters until the air raid alert was lifted.

Local residents reported hearing four powerful explosions, and a thick column of black smoke was seen rising from one area of the city.

According to preliminary reports, Russian forces used Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles in the attack.

All relevant emergency services are currently working to address the damage, while law enforcement is documenting the aftermath of the strike.
