In a recent interview for the documentary "New Chersonesus," Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted the crucial role of history, traditions, and pride in the achievements of ancestors as the foundation for Russia's future victories.

Strengthen the Fatherland

According to URA the documentary, which focuses on the city now known as Sevastopol, will be aired on July 28 on the Russia 1 channel.

Putin stressed that understanding and respecting one's history and cultural traditions are essential for the nation's progress.

He noted that the foundation laid by Russia's history and traditions, as well as the pride in what previous generations accomplished to strengthen the country, is vital for current and future triumphs.

"This foundation is created by our history, our traditions, and pride in what our ancestors did to strengthen the Fatherland," Putin stated during the interview.

The documentary "New Chersonesus" explores the two-thousand-year history of Sevastopol, intertwining this rich past with the establishment of the new museum and temple complex "New Chersonesus" in the city. This complex aims to preserve and celebrate the region's cultural heritage, further emphasizing the importance of historical awareness.
