The war in Ukraine has reshaped the geopolitical landscape, influencing the policies and futures of nations worldwide.
As the conflict drags on, analysts and political insiders are offering increasingly stark predictions about its long-term implications.
For Russia, the war has brought not only immediate challenges but also broader questions about its trajectory in a world that is rapidly changing.
U.S. Pressure and BRICS Concerns
Alexei Chadayev, a former advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin, recently shared his concerns about Russia's future in an interview with Business Gazeta.ru.
Chadayev, who once wrote speeches for Putin, warned that the country could face severe internal and external difficulties in the coming years if significant reforms are not implemented.
Chadayev likened Russia's potential future to the chaos seen in Syria, highlighting that the failure to secure decisive victories in Ukraine and Syria has only deepened instability.
He cautioned that a truce without a clear resolution risks prolonged uncertainty and damage to Russia’s position on the world stage.
"We either fight or surrender — there is no third option," he said, advocating for decisive action, according to WP.
According to Chadayev, the United States has many tools at its disposal to pressure Russia, many of which remain unused.
He predicted that Washington would continue to assert its global dominance through economic, military, and technological means.
Chadayev also questioned the long-term viability of BRICS, an economic alliance that includes Russia, Brazil, India, China, and South Africa.
He expressed doubts about its future, suggesting that differing priorities among member states could lead to its dissolution.
