Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russian military forces have significantly increased the pace of their offensive along the entire frontline in Ukraine.

No Negotiations

Speaking at a meeting broadcast by the Kremlin's Telegram channel, Putin revealed that the rate of Russian advances in the conflict zone has surged by 50%, according to Lenta.

This development comes as Ukrainian forces continue to launch attacks in the Kursk region, which Putin claims are attempts to halt Russia’s progress in Donbas and Novorossiya.

During the meeting, Putin reiterated his stance against engaging in dialogue with Ukraine, citing the ongoing attacks on civilian populations.

"What negotiations can be held with those who indiscriminately strike at peaceful people?" Putin remarked, dismissing the possibility of diplomatic talks with Kyiv under current circumstances.

An Effort to Gain Leverage

Despite these statements, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has previously indicated that Russia remains open to a diplomatic resolution to the conflict but has not observed a reciprocal willingness from Ukraine.

Putin also suggested that Ukraine’s actions in the Kursk region are aimed at improving their negotiating position in any future talks.

He characterized the Ukrainian military’s incursions into the region as an effort to gain leverage.
