Russia unleashed one of its largest drone strikes in recent weeks, targeting Ukrainian cities overnight with nearly 90 drones.

The attack injured at least four civilians and damaged multiple buildings across Kyiv, Kharkiv, and other regions, according to Ukrainian officials.

Ukraine’s air force reported that 56 out of the 88 Russian-launched drones were shot down. An additional 24 were diverted using electronic warfare systems, severely limiting the strike’s effectiveness, as reported by Digi24.

Kyiv and Kharkiv Among Primary Targets

Kyiv bore the brunt of the aerial assault, with drone debris igniting fires and destroying at least one private home.

Several commercial buildings also sustained significant damage. The city’s mayor confirmed that three people were wounded in the capital.

In Kharkiv, one person was reported injured following drone strikes that targeted infrastructure in the northeastern city. Emergency crews responded to multiple incidents across urban neighborhoods.

Damage Reported Across Multiple Regions

Beyond the major cities, regional officials in Dnipropetrovsk confirmed that both residential and commercial buildings were damaged in central areas.

In the south, Ukraine’s military reported infrastructure losses in the Odesa region, though full assessments are still underway.

The attack underscores Russia’s continued reliance on drone warfare to pressure Ukrainian defenses and disrupt daily life.

As fighting intensifies across the front lines, drone strikes remain a key tactic in Moscow’s broader strategy to exhaust Ukrainian resources and resilience.
