The ongoing war in Ukraine continues to devastate the country, with attacks targeting both military and civilian areas.

Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared the news of a tragic attack in his hometown of Krivi Rig.

Russia launched a ballistic missile that struck a hotel where several volunteers from the US and the UK were staying, reports 20Minutes

Fortunately, these volunteers survived because they had left their rooms just before the missile hit.

Zelensky confirmed that at least four people were killed in the attack. He explained that the missile hit a regular hotel.

The volunteers were part of a humanitarian organization, and the hotel had also hosted citizens from Ukraine.

The missile strike caused significant damage, and rescue operations continued in the area. Several blocks of flats were also affected by the blast.

Zelensky expressed his gratitude to the rescue teams working tirelessly on the ground.

The Ukrainian president used this tragic event to call for continued pressure on Russia. He emphasized that the war and the acts of terrorism must stop.

Zelensky’s words reflected his determination to push for peace, despite the ongoing violence.

His message came just before he traveled to Brussels to attend an urgent European Council meeting.

During his visit, he is scheduled to meet with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, and Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo.

At the heart of the discussions will be two main issues. First, the strengthening of support for Ukraine, which continues to face immense pressure from Russia.

Second, the steps that European nations must take to ensure their own security, especially as the conflict drags on.

As the war continues, Zelensky's push for unity among European nations remains a critical factor in the effort to defend Ukraine and stop further Russian aggression.
