Russian defense contractor "FORES" has garnered attention by announcing a substantial reward of 15 million rubles ($207,000 USD) for the military serviceman who successfully downs the first American F-16 fighter jet.

A Significant Bounty

This significant bounty was disclosed by Ilya Potanin, the director of the organization, as reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense on Telegram.

"FORES," known for its involvement in defense technologies and strategic initiatives, has previously recognized military achievements through similar reward programs.

Potanin's recent announcement not only highlights the company's proactive stance in military operations but also underscores its commitment to recognizing and incentivizing successful combat actions.

Rewards for Destroying Tanks

Potanin also took the opportunity to honor servicemen who demonstrated exceptional skill in previous engagements by destroying Abrams and Leopard tanks during special operations. Each tank destruction was rewarded with 500,000 rubles, marking the seventh ceremony of its kind held by "FORES."

The decision to offer a reward specifically for the destruction of F-16 fighter jets reflects ongoing geopolitical tensions and military strategies. The F-16, a cornerstone of the United States' military arsenal and widely used by NATO allies, represents a formidable target in modern warfare scenarios.

Coinciding with this announcement, on July 15th, the United Aircraft Corporation completed the delivery of upgraded MiG-31 fighters to the Russian Ministry of Defense. These modernized aircraft are part of Russia's ongoing efforts to strengthen its aerial defense capabilities and maintain a robust military posture.
