Russian Forces Hit Zaporizhzhia 397 Times, Civilians Caught in Devastation

The Zaporizhzhia region faced an onslaught of 397 strikes in a single day.

A barrage of strikes hit the Zaporizhzhia region in Ukraine on Wednesday, killing one civilian and injuring seven others, according to local officials.

Ivan Fedorov, the head of Zaporizhzhia's regional military administration, provided updates via Telegram, detailing the extent of the attack which involved nearly 400 strikes across several settlements.

Russian forces launched a total of 397 strikes on eight different settlements within the region.

The assault included seven airstrikes, hitting areas such as Zaporizhzhia city, Levadne, Biloghiry, and Novoandriyivka. Additionally, 239 drones targeted smaller towns, with Gulyaipole, Novoandriivka, and Robotyne among those worst affected.

The scope of the destruction extended across several districts, with drones and artillery shells pounding residential areas and vital infrastructure. In some of the hardest-hit areas, like Mala Tokmachka and Malynyvka, artillery fire and anti-aircraft weaponry caused substantial damage.

Fedorov’s report mentioned that these regions endured a total of 144 artillery shells.

The attacks left a trail of destruction, with Ukrainian authorities recording 202 reports of damage to homes and public facilities.

The civilian toll also grew during the day, with one person reportedly killed in a drone strike in Mala Tokmachka. Seven other people were injured in an airstrike on Zaporizhzhia itself, adding to the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
