A hacker group known as RaHDit, or "Angry Russian Hackers," has published information on 3,200 foreign mercenaries fighting for Ukraine's Armed Forces (VSU).

It is a Warning

According to URA the group released the data online, stating their intention to remind the world of what they perceive as crimes committed by the Ukrainian government under President Volodymyr Zelensky.

In a message accompanying the data release, RaHDit expressed their motive as a warning, particularly as the world focuses on the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. They claimed that the celebration of the event is overshadowed by what they describe as bloodshed.

The list includes individuals from various countries, such as the 2014 Winter Olympics participant Kristaps Maurins and the businessman and professor Juris Alberts Ulmanis, who has written a book called "When War Becomes Personal," which RaHDit alleges promotes anti-Russian sentiment.

Mercenaries from Spain and Germany

The leak also names mercenaries from Israel, Spain, and Germany, among others. This revelation follows a previous incident in mid-July, where Russian hackers reportedly breached Ukrainian television broadcasts to display messages from Russian military personnel showcasing captured equipment.

The data release has stirred controversy, raising concerns about privacy and the implications for those involved. It also highlights the ongoing cyber warfare aspect of the conflict, where digital operations and leaks are increasingly used as tools for psychological and informational warfare
