Missile strikes on Ukrainian cities have become a grim reality of the ongoing war.

Civilians often bear the brunt of these attacks, with homes, businesses, and critical infrastructure frequently targeted.

The latest strike on Krivoy Rog adds to a growing list of deadly assaults on urban centers far from the front lines.

Casualties and Damage

At least one person was killed and three others injured in a Russian missile attack on Krivoy Rog on Wednesday evening.

Local authorities confirmed that the strike directly hit a civilian site, sparking a fire and causing severe structural damage.

Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city's military administration, warned that some victims might still be trapped beneath the rubble.

Regional governor Serhiy Lysak stated that the deceased was a 53-year-old man, while two of the wounded remain in critical condition.

Photos released by Ukraine’s Emergency Service show a heavily damaged building with a collapsed roof and shattered windows.

Officials identified the target as a hotel that was struck by a Russian missile.

A City Under Constant Attack

Krivoy Rog, the birthplace of President Volodymyr Zelensky, has repeatedly come under Russian fire.

Before the war, the city had a population of approximately 600,000.

In January, four people were killed in a missile strike during daylight hours, and in December, another attack left one dead and 14 wounded.

Located about 80 kilometers from the front line, Krivoy Rog remains a key target in Russia’s ongoing campaign against Ukrainian cities.

As reported by Digi24, emergency teams are still searching for survivors, while officials condemn the attack as another act of aggression against civilians.
