A group of Russian soldiers have bravely stepped forward with a chilling video appeal to President Putin, according to Ziare.

Thrust into Frontlines

In a video shared to Telegram the soldiers who were all survivors of a harrowing battle near Kharkiv against the Ukrainian Armed Forces, unveiled a stark reality of chaos and betrayal within their own ranks.

The soldiers were initially promised roles in the second and third lines of defense, but these soldiers were instead thrust into frontline combat by deceptive command decisions.

The soldiers' testimonies paint a grim picture of the turmoil within Russian military units. They describe scenes where wounded and fallen comrades are left abandoned on the battlefield, without proper evacuation or medical aid.

Fascism Within Our Own Ranks

In the video they also recount how Russian artillery and mortar fire, intended for enemy targets, has tragically struck their own units, resulting in catastrophic losses and decimating entire companies.

"We came to fight against fascism, only to find fascism within our own ranks," one soldier declares in the video. Out of their original company of 110 men, only 25 have survived the relentless onslaught.

The conflict in Ukraine, which began in 2014 following Russia's annexation of Crimea and escalated into a full-scale war in the eastern regions of Donetsk and Luhansk, has claimed tens of thousands of lives and displaced millions. The ongoing conflict has seen numerous ceasefires and peace negotiations, yet the situation remains volatile with sporadic flare-ups of violence.
