Russian soldiers from the 429th Armored Regiment have launched a rebellion, accusing their commanders of recklessly endangering the lives of young recruits, particularly those from Ossetia, by sending them into minefields and dangerous situations in Ukraine.

Severe Discontent Amon Russian Troops

According to Ziare the revolt, which took place in the Zaporizhzhia region, has exposed severe discontent among Russian troops and highlighted alleged misconduct by military leaders.

The discontent became public when a soldier from Ossetia recorded a video accusing a commander with the last name Belavin of being responsible for mass casualties and theft. According to the soldier, Belavin has been sending Ossetian recruits to their deaths in mined areas and seizing forest plantations.

Confronts Situation Head-On

The video also reveals allegations that military command does not account for casualties and instead charges injured soldiers, despite compensation being allocated from the Russian military budget.

The video shows the soldier confronting the situation head-on, despite threats from his commander to send him to the most perilous front-line sectors.

The soldier, undeterred by these threats, has vowed to continue exposing the harsh realities faced by his fellow troops.

“There will be more such incidents in the future,” the soldier warns. “Realizing the senselessness of this war, soldiers are increasingly unwilling to die on the front lines, and it is even more offensive to die under the command of tyrannical leaders.”
