A makeshift Russian ammunition depot has been uncovered by the Atesh partisan movement in temporarily occupied Luhansk, Ukraine.
The depot was hidden in the remains of a plant previously destroyed by Ukrainian forces, according to a statement released by the partisan group.
"The occupiers placed it on the site of a destroyed plant that had previously been hit," the group told the news outlet Defense Express.
According to the Atesh movement, Russian military commanders selected the location under the assumption that a previously targeted site would be overlooked and left alone — using the destruction as camouflage.
Despite this assumption, camouflage efforts were still in place at the location, suggesting awareness of its vulnerability.
The Atesh movement, a resistance network made up of Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars, confirmed that all gathered intelligence has been handed over to the Ukrainian Defense Forces for an appropriate response.
The group continues to monitor Russian military activities not only in occupied Ukrainian territories but also within Russia itself, aiming to undermine logistical and operational planning through covert surveillance and sabotage.
