The war in Ukraine has shaped global politics, strained alliances, and intensified tensions between world powers.

Since Russia’s invasion in 2022, Western nations have provided support to Ukraine through financial aid, weapons, and intelligence.

As the conflict drags on, discussions about strategy, military actions, and political maneuvering continue to dominate headlines.

In a recent interview, American journalist Tucker Carlson made claims about the Biden administration’s alleged involvement in a plot to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Reckless and Dangerous Plan

Speaking to journalist Matt Taibbi, Carlson suggested that former U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken had pushed for a direct confrontation with Russia.

He described this supposed plan as reckless and dangerous. Carlson did not provide any evidence to support his statements, but he insisted that an attempt had been made to eliminate the Russian leader.

Taibbi, who has experience covering Russia, agreed with Carlson’s claims and added that attacks within Russian territory served no strategic purpose, according to Ziare.

He suggested that such actions only escalated tensions and created sensational headlines.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian military officials have defended operations targeting Russian positions, stating that drone and missile strikes have significantly weakened Russia’s ability to continue its campaign.

Carlson’s allegations follow his controversial interview with Putin earlier this month.

During their two-hour conversation, Putin repeated his version of Ukraine’s history, portraying Russia as a victim of Western aggression.

Analysts have pointed out that Carlson did little to challenge Putin’s narrative. Many critics viewed the interview as a platform for Russian propaganda.

The Biden administration dismissed Carlson’s claims as baseless.

White House officials called the interview with Putin "pointless" and reiterated that the U.S. is focused on supporting Ukraine’s defense rather than engaging in personal attacks on foreign leaders.

Carlson has been vocal in his criticism of U.S. policy on Ukraine, often echoing viewpoints aligned with Russian interests.
