Accoridng to Ziare this new weapon has already been successfully deployed against Russian forces. Zelensky emphasized its effectiveness, stating, "It is difficult to counter, but very easy to understand why."

The name "Palianiția" refers to a traditional Ukrainian round bread, characterized by its distinct shape and golden crust. This word is challenging for non-Ukrainians to pronounce, making it a symbolic identifier amidst the ongoing Russian invasion.

During the Independence Day celebrations, Zelensky described Palianiția as a “completely new class” of weaponry. While specific details about the drone's capabilities remain undisclosed, he confirmed its successful strikes on enemy positions.

“This is our new method of response against the aggressor... It will be very hard for Russia to even pronounce what hit them,” he remarked.

"Ukrainians rightfully respond.”

Reports indicate that a Russian munitions depot in the Voronezh region may have been targeted using this drone missile. Multiple drones attacked the city of Ostrogojsk, resulting in explosions and fires that continued from the early morning hours.

Ukrainian officials claimed responsibility, stating that the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine successfully targeted a munitions depot near Ostrogojsk on the same day.

Zelensky highlighted that Ukrainians are responding to aggression with increasing effectiveness and precision.

“We are not at war with Russia; they bring ruin here to our homeland and try to impose slavery on us. Ukrainians rightfully respond,” he stated.

The unveiling of Palianiția is part of a broader initiative to enhance Ukraine's drone capabilities. Zelensky announced plans to produce one million drones in 2024, specifically targeting First Person View (FPV) drones and medium- to long-range attack drones.
