On the night of Thursday, August 1, Ukrainian Air Defense Forces successfully intercepted and destroyed seven Russian attack drones.

The operation was confirmed by Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Mykola Oleschuk on Facebook.

According to Oleschuk, the enemy launched ballistic missiles, including "Iskander-M" from the Voronezh region of Russia and Crimea, along with Shahed-type attack drones from the directions of Cape Chauda in Crimea and Kursk in Russia.

"The radio engineering forces detected and tracked seven Shaheds. All of them were shot down by air defense in the Kyiv region, Poltava region, Kherson region, and Dnipropetrovsk region," Oleschuk stated.

Despite the successful defense, two people were injured in the Kyiv region due to falling debris from one of the downed drones.
