Footage released by Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces on February 6 captures the moment a Ukrainian drone detected and destroyed a Russian BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) while it was moving at high speed in the Luhansk region.

According to a report by United24 Media, the strike was executed by operators from the 412th “NEMESIS” Regiment.

The BM-21 Grad is a formidable weapon, designed to unleash rapid barrages of rockets before swiftly relocating to avoid counterstrikes. This “hit-and-run” tactic makes them particularly difficult to track and destroy.

“Hunting down MLRS systems is never easy, as the enemy relies on mobility to avoid detection,” Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces stated. “However, with effective reconnaissance and careful planning, we can successfully neutralize these high-value targets.”

The attack, carried out using a bomber drone, underscores the growing role of unmanned aerial systems in modern warfare.

This is not the first time the 412th “NEMESIS” Regiment has made headlines. Previously, in coordination with the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the unit successfully destroyed a Russian howitzer.
