The Ukrainian military has shared video footage showing a wounded Russian soldier being rescued after surviving grenade attacks.

Directed to Safety

The soldier was signaling his intent to surrender, and the drone operator decided to spare him. He then decided to direct him to a safer location on the battlefield.

The video, which surfaced on the YouTube channel of the K-2 Battalion of the 54th Brigade, shows the soldier enduring five grenade launches.

The russian soldier miraculously survived, according to Ziare. After the drone was reloaded, it returned to the same site to locate the injured soldier. It found him, and he was seen desperately signaling for water and making a prayer gesture.

Greeted by Ukrainian Soldiers

Upon the drone’s return, it dropped a bottle of water along with a note instructing the soldier on how to reach Ukrainian lines, stating, “Follow the drone at the top of the trenches.” This act offered the wounded Russian a chance for survival amid the chaos of war.

The footage, reportedly filmed in the Donbas region of Eastern Ukraine, captures the soldier using a syringe from his pocket to inject painkillers into his left arm before cautiously moving toward safety. Despite appearing exhausted and limping, he manages to follow the drone's guidance.

Once he reaches the Ukrainian lines, he is greeted by two Ukrainian soldiers marching toward him.
