Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SSO) carried out a raid on Russian positions in the Kursk region, successfully killing seven Russian soldiers and capturing eight more, according to a video published by the UA_REG TEAM unit.

The raid, conducted on November 27, targeted positions held by Russia’s 810th Marine Brigade, a unit active in the war against Ukraine since the full-scale invasion began.

The Ukrainian forces leveraged their superior training, thermal imaging technology, and element of surprise to infiltrate the forested area, eliminate Russian forces, and compel survivors to surrender.

The eight captured Russian soldiers will be used in prisoner exchanges to bring Ukrainian defenders home from captivity.

Ukrainian special forces have been highly active behind enemy lines, executing operations that disrupt Russian military activities, seize key positions, and demoralize enemy troops.

These raids have become critical to undermining the Russian presence and forcing occupiers into a defensive posture.

On November 25, another raid in Kurshchyna resulted in the elimination of 10 Russian soldiers. Utilizing thermal imaging, Ukrainian fighters identified and targeted enemy positions with precision.

Earlier, the 4th Ranger Regiment of Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces ambushed a Russian vehicle carrying infantry. The attack, which combined direct fire and kamikaze drones, resulted in the complete destruction of the enemy group.
