Ukrainian forces launched a missile attack on a Russian military training ground in eastern Ukraine, using precision-guided rockets to cause heavy casualties and destroy equipment. This was reported by Militarnyi.

The 54th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed the strike and released video footage of the attack.

The strike was carried out with M30A1 Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) rockets, guided to their targets by a Shark reconnaissance drone operated by the Attack UAV Company “Divine Punishment.”

The GMLRS rockets, equipped with shrapnel warheads, were aimed at a group of Russian soldiers and military vehicles.

Two rockets hit the target area, striking a truck and scattering infantry soldiers. The aerial detonation of the warheads allowed the munitions to cover a large area, causing extensive damage.

Despite the chaos, some Russian soldiers managed to escape after the initial explosion.

A KAMAZ army truck, used by the Russian military, was reportedly destroyed by one of the warheads, which released 180,000 tungsten carbide fragments. These fragments are designed to penetrate unarmored vehicles and structures.

In previous attacks, similar strikes have left Russian military vehicles severely damaged, making them irreparable. One such incident, reported by Russian media, showed a KAMAZ-53501 truck with its cab riddled by over a thousand holes.

The missile strike is part of a broader campaign by Ukrainian forces to disrupt Russian military operations.

On August 9, Ukrainian forces destroyed a convoy of Russian military equipment in the Kursk region of Russia, near the village of Oktyabrske. That strike reportedly destroyed 11 trucks and resulted in casualties, possibly exceeding one hundred soldiers.

Additionally, Ukrainian troops recently targeted a Russian pontoon crossing over the Seim River in the Kursk region, using cluster munitions to further disrupt Russian military logistics.
