On April 7, the Ukrainian Air Force carried out a precision airstrike in the temporarily occupied Kherson region, destroying a Russian command post.
The strike was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via X on April 9.
The target was a concrete structure used by the Russian 81st Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment as a command center.
According to preliminary information, the strike killed between 20 and 30 Russian soldiers, though exact casualty numbers are still being verified.

The Kherson operation follows an earlier Ukrainian airstrike on March 21 in Toretsk, Donetsk region, where air forces hit a concentration of Russian troops from the 1st Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade and the 103rd Motor Rifle Regiment.
That strike targeted a fortified building and basement where troops were sheltering.
