Newly surfaced video footage has confirmed the aftermath of a Ukrainian HIMARS missile strike that destroyed four Russian military helicopters at a field airstrip in Russia’s Belgorod region.

The strike, carried out on March 24, targeted helicopters believed to be in maintenance or rearming phases at the time.

The video, reportedly recorded shortly after the attack, shows at least one Ka-52 "Alligator" attack helicopter completely engulfed in flames, with smoke billowing across the scene and debris scattered throughout the area.

According to Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces, the strike was a coordinated effort involving the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR), Rocket Forces, and Artillery units.

They confirmed that two Ka-52 attack helicopters and two Mi-8 transport helicopters were destroyed in the precision strike.

The weapon reportedly used was the M30A2 rocket, equipped with tungsten steel pellets, known for inflicting devastating damage to ground targets.

The helicopters were stationed at what appears to be a temporary or active forward-operating airstrip.

Ukraine Also Struck North Korean-Made Artillery Systems

Separately, Ukraine’s 14th Separate UAV Brigade recently confirmed the destruction of three North Korean-made Koksan self-propelled artillery systems in Russia’s Kursk region.

Despite efforts by Russian troops to protect the weapons using improvised “grill” armor, HIMARS strikes—this time with a mix of high-explosive and cluster munitions—were successful in destroying the systems.
