Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to visit Warsaw on Wednesday. He will meet with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

The Government Information Center of Poland confirmed this in a report, reports Ukrinform.

The meeting is scheduled for January 15. Afterward, a joint press conference will be held to discuss the talks.

Zelenskyy is also expected to meet with Polish President Andrzej Duda during his visit.

This is Zelenskyy's third visit to Warsaw since Russia began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

His previous trips took place in April 2023 and July of last year. Poland has been a strong ally to Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.

The country has provided crucial support, including a large military and humanitarian aid hub at Rzeszow-Jasionka Airport, which has helped deliver aid to Ukraine.

Zelensky's visit comes at an important time. Poland is currently holding the presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The country is expected to open the first negotiation clusters for Ukraine's accession to the European Union during its presidency.

This move is seen as a significant step forward in Ukraine's pursuit of joining the EU.

The visit is expected to further strengthen the ties between Poland and Ukraine.

The ongoing cooperation between the two nations plays a critical role in the wider efforts to support Ukraine in its struggle against Russian forces.
