Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced plans to unveil a comprehensive peace plan for Ukraine by the end of November.
Crucial Factors
In an interview with Japanese broadcaster NHK, Zelenskyy outlined his strategy to end the ongoing conflict, emphasizing patience, international support, and diplomatic pressure as crucial factors for achieving a just resolution, according to URA.
Zelenskyy stressed the importance of unity among the United States and European nations, asserting that a united front would increase pressure on Moscow and demonstrate that Russia has no viable option to continue the conflict.
He highlighted the need for detailed discussions with relevant countries regarding Ukraine's territorial integrity and other significant issues.
Avoid Prolonged War
In June, Zelenskyy spoke about the urgency of resolving the conflict, citing the high number of casualties among Ukrainian forces. He expressed a desire to avoid a prolonged war, emphasizing the importance of developing a peace plan before the second summit dedicated to his "peace formula."
Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson recently suggested that Ukraine might consider compromising on its territorial claims and offer protections for Russian-speaking citizens as a way to negotiate peace with Russia. Zelenskyy, however, has not confirmed any such concessions and has stressed the necessity of including Russian representatives in the next peace summit. It remains uncertain which countries will be involved in the negotiations.
