The Gaza Strip has experienced devastating loss of life amidst ongoing conflicts, with the Health Ministry reporting a significant number of casualties. In just the last 24 hours, at least 78 Palestinians have been killed, and 104 others have been injured as the Israeli onslaught continues in the besieged territory.

In a distressing pattern that underscores the severe impact on non-combatants, the Health Ministry revealed that children and women make up 72% of the total fatalities in Gaza due to Israeli aggression. This is reported by Turkish news agency, Anadolu Ajansi.

The past day has seen Israeli forces carry out eight massacres against families across the Gaza Strip. The ministry's statement also draws attention to the plight of many individuals still trapped under rubble or stranded on roads, unreachable by rescue teams.

Since the conflict intensified on October 7, the death toll has alarmingly risen to at least 30,878 Palestinians, with the majority being women and children, as reported by Palestinian health authorities. Additionally, 72,402 individuals have been injured in the violence.

The ongoing hostilities were triggered by a cross-border attack by Hamas, which Israel claims resulted in nearly 1,200 deaths. As a consequence, the Israeli military campaign against Gaza has led to internal displacement for 85% of the local population, exacerbating the already dire humanitarian situation.

Critical shortages of food, clean water, and medicine are rampant, while 60% of the territory's infrastructure faces damage or complete destruction, according to the United Nations.
