In a sensational post on X (formerly known as Twitter), the Danish Astronaut Andreas Mogensen sharply criticizes Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, calling him out for dishonesty regarding a space mission.
It is rare for Mogensen to show his anger publicly, but this time he made an exception.
“What a lie,” he wrote, directly calling out Musk’s statements.
He added: “And this is coming from someone who complains about a lack of honesty in the mainstream media.”
Denmark’s First Astronaut Takes a Stand
Andreas Mogensen is Denmark's first astronaut. Born on November 2, 1976, in Copenhagen, he has an extensive background in engineering, holding a PhD in aerospace technology from the University of Texas at Austin, USA.
He was selected as an astronaut by the European Space Agency (ESA) in 2009, making history in September 2015 when he became the first Dane to travel to space.
He was part of the Iriss mission, launched aboard the Russian Soyuz TMA-18M capsule, where he conducted various scientific experiments and technological tests.
His second journey into space occurred in August 2023, this time for a longer mission. He remained in orbit until March 2024, further cementing his role as a key figure in European space exploration.
