After leaving the White House in 2021 alongside his parents, Donald and Melania Trump, Barron Trump has now settled into life in New York City.

The 18-year-old recently began his studies at Stern Business School at New York University (NYU) — one of the most prestigious business schools in the United States.

A New Chapter in New York

Barron completed high school at Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, Florida, graduating in May. Although he has largely stayed out of the media spotlight, his presence at NYU has quickly become a hot topic both on campus and in the press.

Earlier this month, Kaya Walker, the former president of NYU’s College Republican Club, made headlines after referring to Barron as “an oddity” at the university in an interview with Vanity Fair. The statement went viral, sparking backlash that ultimately led to Walker resigning from her position.

In an open letter following her resignation, Walker apologized for her comments, stating, “I must consider the well-being of the organization.”

Barron has returned to New York, where he spent his early years, but his decision to attend Stern Business School instead of his father’s alma mater, Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, was made carefully.

"It’s a high-quality place. He liked it. He liked the school," Donald Trump told Daily Mail. "I’ve known NYU for a long time, and it’s one of the highest-ranked schools."

As the son of a former president, Barron is under constant Secret Service protection, and agents escort him to and from classes.

In interviews with NYU students, Daily Mail reported mixed reactions to his presence. Some students speculated that the university’s liberal atmosphere might influence him, while others expressed sympathy, acknowledging that he has little control over his highly public life.

Barron’s Role in His Father’s Campaign

According to People Magazine, Barron is quite popular on campus, particularly among female students. “He’s definitely a ladies’ man,” a source revealed. “He’s tall and handsome, and many—even liberals—find him attractive.”

However, Barron’s influence extends beyond his personal appeal. During Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, he played a key role in connecting his father with younger voters through social media influencers and podcasters.

Melania Trump has praised her son’s understanding of younger generations, particularly regarding media trends and political engagement. “He is a young man with knowledge, even about politics, and he gave his father valuable advice,” she told Fox News.

Following Walker’s resignation, College Republicans of America extended an invitation to Barron to join their NYU chapter.

The organization’s president, Will Donahue, described Barron as “the future of the conservative movement.”

"Strong leadership is built on resilience, courage, and humility," Donahue said. "We invite Barron to help shape the future of our party."
