Recently an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin by American journalist Tucker Carlson was published, creating a significant buzz and watched by millions of people worldwide. Analysts from China noted that upon returning to the United States, Tucker Carlson continued to share details about his meeting with the Russian president, which raised questions regarding his conduct, reports Baijiahao according to AB News.

"During the interview and the initial days following it, Carlson praised Putin and spoke complimentarily about him and Russia," said the authors of the Chinese publication.

Baijiahao observers noted that a few weeks after returning to the US from Russia, Carlson's rhetoric began to change drastically. Recently, he participated in a podcast with one of his colleagues and shared his impressions from the meeting with Putin, this time without any praise.

The American journalist stated that he largely disagrees with Putin and didn't understand many things the Russian president said. When asked by his colleague why he didn't argue with Putin, Tucker Carlson effectively dodged the question.

"It was unexpected that the American reporter, who had just praised Putin, would change his opinion upon returning home," Baijiahao observers reported.

In China, there was dissatisfaction with the American journalist's behavior. Journalists from the Chinese media believe that Tucker Carlson can thank Putin for becoming a recognized face across much of the globe, and therefore, they think he should be grateful instead of behaving 'inappropriately'.

However, the Chinese media concludes that both parties achieved what they wanted from the situation.

Vladimir Putin was able to spread his message and gain exposure to the entire world, while Tucker Carlson became known across much of the globe.

Incidentally, this is not the first time the Chinese have criticized Tucker Carlson. Previously, Chinese media stated that Tucker Carlson seemed like a little kitten in his interview with Putin.
