In a shocking incident in Mumbra, India, a three-year-old girl was tragically killed when a dog fell from a fifth-floor balcony and landed on her.

Dog Plummeted from a Balcony

According to SE the horrific event was captured on a nearby security camera and has since circulated widely on social media.

According to reports from the "Times of India," the young girl, identified as Sana Khan, was walking with her mother on Dargah Street, heading to a nearby store to buy diapers.

Without warning, a dog plummeted from a balcony of the Chirag Mansion A-Wing and struck Sana. The footage shows the tragic moment when the dog falls and lands on the child.

Dog and Child Taken to Hospital

Emergency services rushed Sana to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital, where doctors conducted a CT scan and an ECG. Unfortunately, the young girl had succumbed to her injuries shortly after.

The tragedy is compounded by the fact that Sana was the only child of her parents, who had struggled with infertility for eight years before her birth.

The incident also drew attention to the fate of the dog. Initial footage showed the animal lying motionless in the street after the fall. However, a surprising twist revealed that the dog survived the fall and later stood up.

The dog was taken to a veterinarian in Karnali with several fractures. Mumbra police inspector Anil Shinde stated that authorities will investigate whether the dog's owner had the necessary permits for keeping the animal.
