Renowned TV host Wendy Williams has been diagnosed with a progressive form of aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.

At 59, renowned American TV and radio host, actress, and producer Wendy Williams has been diagnosed with a progressive form of aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.

Her team released a statement to address "inaccurate and offensive rumors about her health."

Wendy Williams has always been open with her fans about her health challenges, including her battles with Graves' disease and lymphedema.

"In recent years, there's been concern about Wendy's ability to process information, with speculation growing about her health, particularly as she started to struggle with her speech, occasionally acted unpredictably, and found financial dealings confusing," a press release shared by CNN revealed.

In 2023, Wendy Williams was diagnosed with aphasia and dementia. Her representatives stated that sharing this diagnosis publicly was challenging but important for increasing awareness about aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.

Wendy Williams gained fame as the charismatic host of The Wendy Williams Show on American TV from 2008 to 2021.

She is also a New York Times bestselling author for her 2005 autobiography and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2019.
