Two individuals are still missing

Police are increasing security in areas where the water has receded but evacuees have not yet returned, leaving properties vulnerable.

A helicopter is being used to monitor the situation, including road conditions and potential criminal activity.

Looting has already been reported in Ostrava, where a gas station was targeted.

Since the beginning of the flood, rescue teams have responded to 7,884 incidents, with over 12,000 people evacuated.

Interior Minister Vít Rakušan (STAN) urged citizens to follow instructions from authorities and emphasized the importance of evacuation.

Soldiers have evacuated 35 people, and six helicopters have been deployed.

Risk of contamination

The government is working closely with hygiene stations to address concerns about contamination in flooded areas.

Mayors will receive hygiene guidelines to share with the public. Meanwhile, Transport Minister Martin Kupka (ODS) reported significant road damage in South Moravia, particularly in Jesenice.

Drivers have been asked to check for road closures and avoid affected areas.

The army is assisting with flood response efforts, including filling sandbags and transporting materials for evacuees.
