A devastating motorcycle accident occurred on the evening of January 2, 2024, on Calea 13 Septembrie in Bucharest, Romania.
The incident involved a collision between a 26-year-old motorcyclist and a 56-year-old pedestrian who was out walking his dog.
Emergency response teams were quickly on the scene to provide medical assistance to the motorcyclist and the critically injured pedestrian. Despite their efforts, the pedestrian did not respond to resuscitation attempts and was declared deceased.
The pedestrian's dog also succumbed to its injuries.
The motorcyclist, who tested negative for alcohol and prohibited substances, was transported to the University Hospital for treatment.
The accident led to a temporary halt in traffic as authorities conducted their investigation.
