At 66 years old, Dave Myers, celebrated for his role in the beloved TV culinary duo The Hairy Bikers, has passed away.
His journey with cancer, which he publicly disclosed two years prior, came to a peaceful end at his home on the evening of February 28, 2024. Myers, a native of Barrow-in-Furness, rose to fame two decades ago alongside his co-star Si King, with whom he shared a profound bond of friendship and adventure.
The duo, recognized for their distinctive beards and love for motorcycle journeys, captivated audiences by exploring and cooking diverse cuisines across the globe. King, in a heartfelt message on X, expressed the profound loss of Myers, stating, "Last night, with Lili, Dave’s wife, his family, close friend David and myself by his side, he passed away peacefully at home. We are all devastated at his passing."
King paid tribute to Myers' spirit and the joy his family brought him, particularly his wife's children, Iza and Sergiu, whom Myers cherished dearly. "I will miss him every day," King shared, reflecting on their enduring friendship and the adventures they embarked on together.
