Citronex promptly issued a statement confirming the fraud attempt and emphasized the importance of vigilance when conducting transactions in its name.
“We were deceived by individuals pretending to work for Yellow Fresh Fruits SRL. They attempted to buy pineapples from well-known Dutch suppliers under our brand. Some of the goods had already been loaded onto trucks, but we managed to uncover the fraud just in time,” the company reported.
