Mexican drug cartels are becoming more aggressive. They are now ordering their members to attack US Border Patrol agents using kamikaze drones and bombs.

This comes as former President Donald Trump pushes for stronger security measures at the US-Mexico border.

An internal memo titled "Officer Safety Alert" warns federal agents about this new threat.

The New York Post reported that the memo is based on social media posts and intelligence sources.

It reminds agents to stay alert, wear body armor, and be prepared to use their high-powered firearms.

The El Paso Sector Intelligence and Operations Center received information on February 1, 2025.

The report states that Mexican cartel leaders have authorized the use of drones armed with explosives against US Border Patrol agents and military personnel stationed at the border.

The document advises all agents and Department of Defense personnel to report any drone sightings immediately.

A pro-Trump television network, News Nation, was the first to report on this memo. The station also found cartel-related posts on social media.

These posts encourage illegal immigrants to spit and urinate on ICE agents and their vehicles.

Others go even further, calling for the assassination of those guarding the US-Mexico border.

Last week, cartel members opened fire on Border Patrol agents in Fronton, Texas.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the cartel members fled into Mexico when they encountered US military forces. Some sought refuge on an island between the two countries.

This warning comes as the Trump administration intensifies efforts to deport illegal immigrants with criminal records.

The government has also tightened security along the southern border to curb illegal crossings.

Cartel leaders see the increased US presence as a direct threat to their business. The memo states that these criminals fear losing profits from drug and human trafficking.

With drones and explosives now part of their arsenal, their tactics are becoming more dangerous.

The situation at the US-Mexico border is growing more violent, and federal agents remain on high alert.
