It's been a turbulent few days at New York University (NYU), where Kaya Walker, the former president of the NYU College Republicans, chose to step down from her position. The reason? Her comments about the reclusive youngest Trump, Barron Trump, sparked widespread debate and criticism on social media.

Now, Walker has broken her silence:

"It’s Been Crazy!"

After staying out of the spotlight for several days, Walker has spoken out in an interview with the New York Post. The former leader of the Republican student group at NYU discussed the challenges she faced and her passion for the conservative movement.

According to Newsner, Walker stated: "I’ve worked hard to support the conservative movement. Everyone knows it’s an uphill battle to be a Republican at NYU."

She continued: "I’ve put everything into building my chapter. I’ve increased [attendance] significantly. It’s been crazy, especially this past year. We've seen a huge increase in membership and had a lot of fun."

Barron Trump’s Rise in the Public Eye

Barron Trump, the son of former President Donald Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump, has largely stayed out of the public eye. However, last November, he made a rare appearance alongside his father during the election, leading to a surge in public interest.

Now 18, Barron is a student at NYU's Stern School of Business, one of the most prestigious business schools in the U.S. Despite being accompanied by Secret Service agents and leading a less typical college life than his peers, he appears to be adjusting well.

According to People Magazine, Barron is popular among his classmates—especially among female students.

"He goes to Stern, so he studies business in some way. He's a real charmer. He's really popular with the girls," a source revealed, adding, "He's tall and handsome. A lot of people find him quite attractive—even liberal students like him."

The Comments That Sparked Controversy

The controversy began with an interview Walker gave to Vanity Fair, in which she described Barron Trump.

"He’s kind of an oddity on campus. He goes to class, and then he goes home," she said.

Her remarks quickly spread on social media, drawing backlash. The College Republicans of America (CRA) promptly condemned the statements, calling them “inappropriate” and contrary to the organization’s “values and principles.”

With her resignation, Walker leaves behind a chapter she believes is stronger than ever. Despite the difficulties, she looks back on her tenure with pride.

"I’ve put everything into building my department. I’ve increased [attendance] significantly," she reiterated.

As for Barron Trump, his college life continues.

While he may never experience a conventional student lifestyle, he seems to be settling in at NYU. Whether he will respond to Walker’s comments remains unknown, but one thing is certain—both Kaya Walker and Barron Trump will remain topics of discussion for the foreseeable future.
