In a decisive move to bolster national security, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration Czesław Mroczek announced the establishment of specialized Border Guard units dedicated to protecting Poland's borders.

This announcement came according to Pap during a parliamentary session in response to concerns about illegal migration across the Belarusian-Polish border.

Mroczek emphasized the urgency of the situation, citing recent incidents where aggressive groups attempted illegal crossings armed with dangerous items.

"We have deployed additional police forces equipped to handle such threats," Mroczek stated, underscoring the immediate operational readiness of personnel experienced in border security. The focus is now on training and mobilizing these units effectively to prevent unauthorized entries and ensure the safety of border communities.

Addressing Vulnerabilities and Enhancing Infrastructure

Deputy Minister Mroczek outlined plans to fortify border infrastructure and improve security measures in response to the evolving challenges posed by illegal migration.

He assured the public that comprehensive actions would soon be unveiled to strengthen state security and mitigate risks along the border with Belarus.

"Our efforts aim to identify and rectify vulnerabilities promptly," Mroczek affirmed, signaling a proactive approach to safeguarding national interests.

The proposed measures include legislative amendments to empower security forces with clearer guidelines on the use of force and enhanced cooperation between military and law enforcement agencies.

Legislative Support and Public Assurance

During discussions in the Sejm, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz reiterated the importance of the legislative amendments, highlighting their alignment with broader national defense strategies.

He clarified that the proposed changes complement existing presidential initiatives focused on bolstering defense capabilities, ensuring a cohesive approach to national security.

Kosiniak-Kamysz also addressed concerns regarding the welfare of personnel stationed at the border, affirming that adequate accommodations and support are provided.

As parliamentary deliberations continue, the government remains committed to implementing effective measures that uphold border integrity while safeguarding the rights and security of all citizens.
