Police are searching for four dangerous escapees from a psychiatric facility in Germany.

Police are conducting a major operation to locate four dangerous individuals who escaped from a psychiatric facility in Lerchenhaid, southern Germany, late Saturday evening.

According to a police press release, the men managed to flee the clinic during the night from Saturday to Sunday.

They reportedly threatened and attacked an employee, forcing him to open the doors for them.

The employee was taken to the hospital after the incident, authorities confirmed. Police have released detailed descriptions of the fugitives.

The escapees are four young men, two of whom are described as athletic.

The police also provided the names, photos, and nationalities of the individuals: Denis Eler (31, Bosnian), Moritz Kühlborn (28, German), Angelo Jeremias (28, German), and Zequir Beqiri (27, Kosovar).

The police statement urged the public to report any suspicious activity immediately and strongly advised against picking up hitchhikers or approaching the fugitives.
