The incident occurred following the Navy Day parade, where military leaders from various countries were gathered, according to Lenta.
President Putin, maintaining a composed demeanor, reassured the guest with a few kind words.
The gathering included commanders from China, Algeria, India, and other friendly nations such as Azerbaijan, Vietnam, and Egypt. Also in attendance were Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov and Navy Admiral Alexander Moiseyev.
Dropped His Glass
As the celebration progressed, guests were served champagne. When one attendee dropped his glass, Putin approached and greeted each military leader, emphasizing the importance of the international military community coming together. He remarked that such gatherings symbolize a collective pursuit of peace, cooperation, and mutual understanding.
During the reception, President Putin also announced the recognition of over 30,000 sailors involved in special military operations, highlighting awards given to the frigates "Admiral Makarov" and "Admiral Essen," as well as various marine units.
