A seasoned physics teacher has resigned after unintentionally broadcasting explicit content on a classroom monitor during a lesson attended by 13- and 14-year-old students.

Shocking footage captured Razif Nurgaliev, 62, appearing to smirk as X-rated material played on his laptop while being completely unaware of the fact that it was also being projected onto the classroom's electronic blackboard.

The incident took place in a school in Tashkinovo village, near the Russian city of Neftekamsk, where Nurgaliev had been teaching for nearly four decades, according to Daily Mail.

According to reports, the teacher had assigned work to his co-ed class before accessing his laptop, forgetting that it was still connected to the projector. A student discreetly filmed the incident from behind a physics textbook, documenting the moment as it unfolded.

Initially, a school source suggested that students might have orchestrated a prank. However, Nurgaliev later admitted to education officials: "I clicked on something, and some website opened." He explained that he had been attempting to access an online journal and had not intended to view the explicit content.

School principal Rudania Burkhanova stated that the teacher was "in shock" after the footage went viral. Despite outrage from parents, the school initially hoped he would remain in his position, citing his previously "exemplary" career and his status as a "valued and respected" educator. However, facing intense backlash, Nurgaliev resigned immediately.

A school representative acknowledged the difficulty of replacing him, given his extensive experience in physics. The school has since launched a formal review following the widespread circulation of the video on social media.

"A review is currently underway, comments will come later," Burkhanova said in an initial statement.

"I need to hear both sides: I have already talked to the children, the parents, and I will talk to the teacher. Only after I hear both sides will I make a decision. No comments yet."
