Honolulu - Safest in the World
Known for its tropical climate and scenic landscapes, Honolulu takes the top spot despite its susceptibility to natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions and typhoons. Travelers have reported feeling very safe in the city, making it an attractive destination, according to Forbes.
Montreal and Reykjavik - Close Competitors
Montreal, which ranks second, is particularly noted for its transport safety. One concern, however, is the potential impact of smoke from northern Quebec’s forest fires on air quality.
Reykjavik in Iceland claims third place, thanks to its high safety ratings for women and LGBTQ+ people and a low risk of terrorism.
