Accoridng to Tag24 Samoan boxing coach Lionel Elika Fatupaito passed away on Friday in the Olympic Village due to a heart attack. He was 60 years old.
The International Boxing Association (IBA), currently suspended, confirmed the news on Saturday. Despite immediate medical attention, rescuers were unable to save Fatupaito. According to the prosecutor's office and news agency AFP, he died of "natural causes."
