A Chinese woman is now making headlines after a unique story about her iPhone 4S, which has been locked for nearly 10 years due to repeated incorrect password entries.
Since the woman, who goes by the name 'Inana' on the social media platform Douyin, shared her story, it has garnered almost 20 million views, as reported by the media outlet Sanook.
It all began in 2015 when Inana's parents tried to unlock her iPhone but accidentally entered incorrect passwords several times.
This resulted in the phone being locked for over 80,000 hours - approximately 10 years.

At that time, Inana chose not to reset the phone, fearing she would lose her precious data, including photos of memories from previous years.
She stored the phone away for several years, having switched to a newer model, but recently decided to dig out the old iPhone 4S again. To her great surprise, the screen showed that there were only 288 minutes left before the phone would unlock.
Overwhelmed with excitement, she recorded a video of the momentous occasion, which quickly became popular.
When the countdown ended, Inana successfully unlocked the phone and discovered that all her data was still intact, including pictures of a cat she had previously owned.

An Apple representative has since explained that iPhones could previously be locked for up to 10 years after repeated incorrect password entries, but that time period has now been significantly reduced.
