Prince Harry has been vindicated in 15 of 33 charges in a lawsuit against the British media company Mirror Group, which he accused of illegal phone tapping. Prince Harry is awarded compensation of 140,600 pounds, equivalent to $180.000.

This was decided by a British court on Friday, according to Reuters and BBC.

The court agreed with Prince Harry that he had also been a victim of other forms of illegal work methods by the journalists who worked for Mirror Group and wrote about him.

This occurred over a 15-year period starting from 1996.

According to his lawyers, over 140 articles about the prince were written based on information collected illegally. Mirror Group publishes the British tabloid newspapers Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror, and Sunday People.

Through his lawyer, Prince Harry has issued the following statement: "Today is a great day for truth as well as accountability."
