The Nigerian rapper MohBad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, has passed away at the young age of 27.
The news was confirmed through a statement on the rapper's Instagram account, stating that he died on September 12.
"It is with great sorrow that we confirm the death of Oladimeji Aloba today," the statement read.
The family thanked everyone for their love and prayers, adding that they wish for peace during this difficult time and that the rapper has finally found peace.
The cause of MohBad's death is currently unknown.
MohBad was known for his singles "Ponmo," "Feel Good," and "KPK."
He released his debut album "Light EP" in 2020 as a follow-up to his song "Ponmo."
He is survived by a son, whom he had with his wife, Wunmi.
