On Saturday, more than 1,200 demonstrations were held nationwide against President Donald Trump — including a major rally in Washington, D.C.

One of the speakers at the Washington rally was Democratic Congressman Al Green, who made headlines with a bold promise targeting Trump.

“We Need a Senate That Will Convict Him”

Green called for stronger action this time around, saying: “We need a Senate that will convict him this time.”

Trump Compared to Goliath

Green referred to Trump as “a Goliath” who controls the military generals and the Justice Department — painting him as a powerful but beatable adversary.

“For Every Goliath, There Is a David”

“But my friends,” Green continued, “for every Goliath, there is a David.” The Texas Democrat made it clear that he sees himself in that role.

Impeachment Threat Delivered

Looking directly into the cameras, Green declared: “Mr. President, this David will bring impeachment articles against you within the next 30 days.”

“I’m Coming After You”

Green didn’t hold back: “I want you to know, Mr. President — this David is coming after you.”

Not His First Attempt

This isn’t the first time Green has promised impeachment. According to reports, he made a similar vow two months ago — and led failed efforts during Trump’s first term.

Earlier this year, Green disrupted Trump’s speech to Congress, causing a scene that led to a formal public reprimand.
