The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday that the "Center" group of forces has taken control of the village of Zheltoe in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
"As a result of active operations, units of the Center group of forces liberated the settlement of Zheltoe in the Donetsk People's Republic," the ministry stated, as reported by Russian media outlet Interfax.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Ukrainian forces were defeated in several areas across the DPR, including Dzerzhinsk, Shcherbinovka, Dimitrov, Petrovka, and Pushkino. Additionally, the Center group repelled eight counterattacks by Ukrainian forces.
Meanwhile, the "Southern" group of Russian troops reportedly continued advancing into Ukrainian defensive positions. Strikes were carried out on Ukrainian brigades in Kurakhovo, Novomarkovo, Ostrovsky, Annovka, and Uspenovka.
Advances in Other Regions
The Russian Defense Ministry further reported that the "West" group of forces had improved its tactical position and inflicted significant losses on Ukrainian manpower and equipment.
Operations targeted two mechanized brigades, one airmobile brigade, two territorial defense brigades, and a national guard brigade in areas such as Andreevka, Redkodub, and Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region, as well as Novoegorovka in the Luhansk People's Republic and Torskoye in the DPR.
The ministry also claimed that the "West" group repelled 14 counterattacks by Ukrainian assault units.
