Ukraine's air defense teams successfully took down eight out of ten Shahed drones launched by Russia during the night, as reported by the Air Force on February 22.

These drones were sent from Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and along with them, a Kh-31P supersonic anti-radiation missile was fired from the Black Sea.

The intercepted drones and missile were over the regions of Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or damage to civilian areas at the time this news was shared.

Drone strikes have become a nightly challenge for Ukraine, hitting different parts of the country.

On the night of February 21, the air defense managed to destroy 13 drones and a Russian missile.

With the winter season, Ukraine had been bracing for continuous Russian assaults, particularly targeting the country's energy facilities and civilian locations.

In a related incident, Russian forces bombarded three communities near the border of Sumy Oblast, leading to at least 33 explosions reported in that vicinity.
